Sana Fayaz from Kashmir secures 12 rank in Indian Forest Service exam
Srinagar, May 13: Sana Fayaz, a resident of Srinagar, Kashmir's Peer Bagh neighborhood, has achieved the 12th All India Rank (AIR) in the Union Public Service Commission's Indian Forest Service exam (UPSC).path
Sana is one of the 147 declared successful candidates. Ms. Sana attended Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School before graduating from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Srinagar with a Bachelor of Technology degree.
She pursued a doctorate degree in Climate Change Studies since she was passionate about environmental protection, which further cemented her competence in the topic.
Thereafter, Ms Sana embarked on her Civil Services journey shortly after completing her engineering in 2017.
Undeterred by initial challenges, she attempted both the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) and UPSC examinations in the same year. Although success eluded her at that time, she persisted with resilience and determination.
In 2021, Sana made a triumphant return, appearing for the JKAS for the second time and the UPSC for the fourth time. Her perseverance bore fruit as she emerged victorious in both endeavours, marking a significant milestone in her career trajectory.
