The chief minister Umar abdulla Today informed the jammu and kashmir legislative Assembly that his Government has planned to Fill 7253 Vacancies, Both Gazetted and Non gazetted by the end of the year 2025.
He also Stated that 11526 selection s have been aslo made across these categories over the past Two years.
The chief minister Umar Abdullah holds charge of the General Administration Department ( GAD) , SPECIFIED that 1502 Gazetted and non gazetted vacancies and 5751 non gazetted for Recruitment this year Responding to a query raised by MLA satish kumar sharma he provided a breakdown of the total 32474 vacancies around 38 government department as on January 31 2025 include 2503 Gazetted posts 19241 Non gazetted posts and 10757 class iv MtS posts.
The chief minister outlined various measure undertaken to adress these vacancies.. 13466 Gazetted vacancies were referred to the jammu and Kashmir public service Commission ( jkpsc) resulting in 2175 selection over the same period. Department security force before being referred for recruitment more than 6000 Vacancies are ready for referral and will be sent to recruiting agencies shortly the said.
To ensure faster and more transparent recruitment, he said the government has abolished interview s for the posts up to pay level ₹ 29000 through s. O 180 dated.
CM umar Abdulla emphasized that the public service Commission and jkssb have been directed to adopt a proactive, target based approach for timely, recruitment. He provided updates on key vacancies under recruitment 150 junior assistant civil post have been referred to jkssb and jkpsc for selection s. Once the carde schedule for engineering Gazetted and subordinates service is finalized, the remaining engineering Gazetted vacancies will also be referred. 150 Gazetted vacancies ( Assistant professor / librarians PTi) in Higher education are under process for referrals .
